Welcome to the Special Needs Resource Project
Information and Special Needs Resources for Parents of Children with Special Needs or Disabilities
Special Needs Resource Project (SNRP) provides a basic guide for parents of children with chronic health issues, disabilities and special needs. This site is designed to help you get a jump-start in your search for helpful information and resources. Every situation is unique. Our aim is to help you learn the basic skills you'll need to obtain the specific resource information, equipment, and services your child and family needs. Though focused on children ages 0-22, most of the information we offer is applicable to adults as well.
What's New December 2011
- The October and November 2011 Newsletters have been posted and are ready for viewing. The next edition of Things To Think About will be published in January 2012.
- We're highlighting great resource links and organizations with some great services and information daily on our Facebook page. Don't forget to "Like" Special Needs Resource Project so you don't miss anything new.
- We've been receiving a good number of emails regarding guardianship. A lot of families have found themselves unprepared for certain circumstances because paperwork has not been completed. We recommend reading the March 2010 newsletter Guardianship and Declaration of Incapacitation.
- Many families are struggling to make ends meet and have been asking about some of our favorite sources for inspiration and ideas. Linda suggests checking out www.budget101.com. Take a few minutes and browse through. You're bound to find a few useful ideas for your family here.
- As always, please feel free to contact us if we've missed anything important. To send an e-mail simply click on Contact Us and we'll answer as quickly as we can.
- Look for SNRP on Facebook! We'll be posting hints and tips, events and announcements through the month for those interested in following. Those of you with Blogs who would like to grab a button, feel free to do so. (They're on the left-hand side of the homepage).
SNRP now has buttons for you to use on your website and/or blog. Just copy the text in the text area below and past it in your website or blog. Thank you for your support!

| Parent's IEP Notebook - Individualized Education Plan Management
For most Special Education children IEP meetings can occur any time a child needs a change in their IEP program during the school year. For some children this may be several times a year. To make this complicated process simpler for parents to manage we have provided a basic Parent's IEP Notebook. One place for all those forms, letters, Parent's Guides and notes you'll be taking. Downloadable forms available here.
